Community Living Room
Design-Build Public Artpiece (Paused Indefinitely)
Community Living Room was a parametric design that was to be made of re-usable steel frames as well as skin panelling. It would tie together the diverse communities surrounding Beech Park. Cement Foundations, surrounded by wooden clad steel seating and stage, would hold up the nearly 18 ton space frame structure with lighting and panelling.
Before being delayed indefinitely, this project was steps away from being brought to fabrication and installation. Hopes to finish this project in 2021 still remain.
My specific roles in this project included assembly and logistics of the physical model/prototypes (not shown), finalizing parametric skin panel dimensions and materials, devising an anchoring system for the panels to the structural ribs.
